Fiction and Poetry Submissions

Thanks to everyone who submitted during our recent submissions window. Please note that general fiction and poetry submissions are now closed until May when we will be once again open to all for a few months. Please note we will be particularly interested in receiving manuscripts from BAME, queer and female writers as we’d like to receive more submissions from writers in under-represented communities.

To submit please send the following to submitdw at gmail dot com:

FICTION/SHORT-STORIES

  • Please send a one/two paragraph synopsis in the body of the email as to what the book is about.
  • If prose, please give the word-count in the body of the email and also indicate whether the submission is a novel/novella or a collection of short-stories.
  • Please include a one-paragraph bio in the body of the email listing any previous publications and details of your social-media accounts, websites, etc.
  • Please attach the full manuscript to the submission (we're afraid we can't accept proposals for fiction, only full-manuscripts).
  • In the body of the email, please let us know where you first came across Dostoyevsky Wannabe.

POETRY

  • Please include a one-paragraph bio in the body of the email listing any previous publications and details of your social-media accounts, websites, etc.
  • In the body of the email, if you're sending a collection of poems please indicate if you'd consider this to be a full-collection or a smaller chapbook/pamphlet.
  • Please attach the full collection of poems in one Word document.
  • In the body of the email, please let us know where you first came across Dostoyevsky Wannabe.

Please note we cannot enter into any correspondence giving feedback on the work submitted. If we are interested, we will be in touch.

For anybody who submitted to the last window at the end of 2019, we are now reading submissions and will hopefully get back to you by the end of March 2020.
